Can anyone tell me if the torsion bar has to be removed to install the d453 Dougs Header?

Also... help save me some time. Where is the best price to buy them?

Many thanks all.....

i bought mine when they were on sale at summit. i paid like 508.00 to my door.

you do not habe to remove the rorsionbar, but i cannot see you getting them in without lifting the engine almost all the way out. i had to lift the engine out over 15 inches, then slide headers in, and bungee cord them up to the sides of the fenderwells, and as you drop the engine in, just keep eye on headers so they do not bind up dropping the engine down

I read somewhere that the easiest way to get the drivers side header in is to pull the steering column.

Thanks... right now both the engine (at the machine shop) and the steering column (i am restoring) are out of the car. Thanks for getting back to me
