440 Source big block aluminum heads

I just had my fingers in a set of the "source" Stealth heads for the second or third time ? I forget, just never paid much attention to them ? they were Customer supplied for a 438 street engine.
IMO
Pretty straight forward and "simple" Head, as it should be for the Price, Price being the keyword in regards to R & D ?
I did not Flow them, can't see the point, but I suspect, probably, that the law of "diminishing returns" of Flow Gains to Dollars spent would very quickly stack up, in what is a VERY WELL designed, and TRUE to it's design parameters, a "Street" Head.

Again IMO,
The Stealths with "Minor"work, are Head and Heels above any Iron Head, but just be careful NOT to get upside down, trying to make a RACE Head out of them ?
I would suggest, Budgetary, they only be considered up to 600hp on smaller engines with limited "expandibility" ? 550-600hp 451 combo's ?

Thanks for the input. I know what I have to do. The iron heads i am running took copious amounts of work to get to work, including epoxy and some minor welding. Not going to put that much work into heads again that are going to stall early like these did. There is only so much you can do with a poor short side and bowl area. I'm already hovering around 600 so what's the point? Time to step up to a race head if I want race results.
