Degreasing Engine???

Back in the day, I learned from a a good friend what to do on a budget that works well.
First time I heard him say it I took a second take.....
"After work I have to shampoo my engine"
The best were Prell & Brec
Warm up the engine a bit and squirt the shampoo straight onto the engine, trans, whatever.. and go after it with one of those universal brushes.
It is unreal how well it worked, along the same lines as the guy who said Dawn dish washing liquid, that also kicks ***.
