Is the main body of the dizzy aluminum?

Do you know if this will work with my MSD 6al ignition? I have a MP Dizzy now with vac advance, thanks.

its kinda heavy so im thinkin cast aluminum but maybe not...

any yes, the only difference between this dizzy (desides maybe curve) is that it had the "port" for the mech tach drive, otherwise its just a chrylser electronic dizzy

but it is a factory peice

hi, it's made out of cast iron, later models were aluminum. having a cable made, ask for tach cable, not speedo cable. tach cable is left hand, speedo is right hand. it will unwind after a while. been there and seen that.

The vacumn advance dizzy(3690430) uses cap#5007856. The older mechanical tach dizzy has larger & higher cap clamps and needs #4120886. Don't think mopar performance even carries this cap anymore since they just have billet unit still available, so ones out there are left in vendors inventory. Here is a pic of the difference. Picture sucks but regular#5007856 cap is on left & one you need is on right. Can also notice difference in picture from Jims catalog.
