K member

Just picked up a 69 dart and someone has changed out the stock K member with a Dice brakes and sway bar, now the K member that came with the car looks alot different , the motor mounts, the middle of the K member how many different K members did mom make ???

There were several, but are mainly divided into year categories and engine families. 1967 was unique due to the single post idler arm, but the mounts are the same as 68-72, except big blocks as they were only 67-69. 73-76 use different mounts and sway bars, but are interchangeable with earlier units. Here are the different pieces:
67 slant
67 small block
67 big block
68-72 slant
68-72 small block
68-69 big block (not sure, but I think 69 383 and 440 used the same k-member)
73-76 slant
73-76 small block

It was the 73-76 small block k-member that was used to make the old Direct Connection big block k-member. Photos of the different k-members can be seen at www.engine-swaps.com.
