Srt-68 Barracuda

it happened yesterday.

David sent his eldest off into the world of matrimony.

Congrats to Christina & Frank! :love3:

This is the thread that got me hooked on "Build Threads" and reading how people put cars together down to the nitty gritty. You get so much more information in one of these threads then you do in ANY magazine article. I think that is why people are so drawn to projects like this and others. Heck, I was ready to drive to the Mopar nats just to see the car that was taken back to "day one" and supposedly smelled like new car again. The Rootbeeracuda is another car that I would put major miles on to see in real life. I am already planning on attending Carlisle and I hope this gets done and can make it so I can see it fer myself.
It really takes patience and perseverance to do this, more so than any government could ever understand (I.E. protect our hobby) but it takes an even BETTER person to share it with everyone else. I keep thinking about it but I get into the project and never remember the camera or video...

2-ton test line. Successfully landed.

(no gills or grills were hurt during catch)
LMAO thats a cool pic.. Could I be nosey and ask what the hemi ran ya? I have seen them on Ebay and alsmost got one. Thanks.

Guess they settled down for a long winters nap... but I somehow doubt it.
I think this got shuffled to the back of the garage for other business related items. Just guessing though. Maybe if we post enough mindless chatter someone will post a pic of it sitting with dust on it someplace...

:eek:fftheai:

This car is gonna be insane!! lol.. I thought the Dart couldnt be topped.. I may be wrong.. You do awesome work! no doubt

I just read through this whole thread. Way cool! Since I have a 68 FB fish that has been turned into a ratty looking track car which I would like to get back on the street and need some stock interior parts for - what about all the stuff that was taken out and not to be put back in?

Is any of it available?

it seems to me the build was aborted

I'm sure that it looks that way, but it hasn't. It's still sitting in the same place in it's climate controlled shop. I wanted to get down there this past weekend to get an in person update... didn't make it there.

Don't give up folks. There's still 5 months until Carlisle :thumrigh:

Here's the tone ring and sensors setup to fool this damn thing...

Left and right rear ABS signals that should have no conflict with the PCM.

So far, so good.

Spacely Sprockets. And we thought it was just our imagination in the 60's.

Hello, my name is Josh and I am running into the same problem with my 69 roadrunner that I installed the 6.1 and tranny out of a 2006 srt8 magnum. Been looking for some help and I come across you. What tone ring and sensors did you use and where did you get them? Any help would be great. I have everything pretty much done on the car except the tranny issue. If you would rather call and talk that would be great. 228-343-1236

Thanks, Josh Porter

Josh, this thread has been dormant for quite some time....... I hope the OP is OK.

Sometimes you just get burnout on something’s that you been working on so much. When I built our log home it was a long road let me tell ya. There is still things that needs to be finished and we been living in it for 15 years. I seen his dart in Carlisle and it was fantastic. I’m sure he will get back with it. :thumrigh:
