what gear brand??

With a lot of things, you get what you pay for. Is this true with rear gears? It seems everyone I know gets off-brand or cheapo gears for under $150, but I always thought it'd be better to spend the extra money and get Richmond gears.....is this true???

I would! I've got Precision Gears and an Dana sure-grip in my rear. I wouldn't use an off brand... Is it really that important to save a few bucks on something as important as the only piece of hardware that sends the power to the wheels? With no gears you've got no go. And no go is bad.
