Day 1, project trans am series 1965 dart

-
the left one required little modification, the right side was a friggen nightmare, but im using the 6 speed tremec and the starter is on the right side, with an automatic or a a833 it should be no problem with a little modification to the left side side

ps when i pull them back out, will post some pics, if i wasnt using the tremec, they would fit with nearly no modifications

Still say this is one of the cleanest and meanest builds todate!! I did a trade for a garret T4 turbo, thought about trying to add it into the slant 6 drag car ....maybe the rear would work, as I have way to much compression for the engine compartment in this engine.

been a while, with work really havent had much time to work on my Dart, however a new toy has come into my life, i just couldnt resist it, before it even left the dealership, got new wheels and the new srt front spoiler along with a few other goodies......by the way 6 speed, loaded

Wish I had a bunch of new pics, sorry between life work and a the new toy
Haven't done much else, figured out lack of space in the trunk, change fuel cell to a different shape cell
Also moved both radiators for the intercoolers to the front of the car, afraid of lack of air flow, using Durango auxiliary heater coolant pumps to circulate the coolant
Will post pictures as soon as I can

By the way, the Challenger now has Mopar persuit shock package, stage 1 springs, Hurst shifter, Mopar 10 wheels, 392 lip spoiler, flat black fuel filler and rear spoiler and God knows what else.....
And if Trinity would get their a$$ in gear would add programmer and maybe a couple of turbos

Please get that Dart going! xD I'm so intrigued how it's going to work out. ;) I was considering getting a challenger, but I don't think I'd be happy with the model I could afford (non v8)..

and finally some new pictures, getting back to work after loosing my focus, new toy and expanding work duties

got some Cummins 6.7L vgt turbos for sales if anybody is interested, would make killer turbos for something, decided to go to smallers more agressive turbos, 2 new Garrets, needed smaller more compact units to make my set up work
the goal is to reach 1050hps and 850 to 900 ft/lb torque, in order to maintain speed in 6th gear at 200+, need plenty of torque
Petty's Garage is going to make both my front and rear spoilers.......the rear will be traditional Nascar stock car spoiler, front may now be a splitter style new generation front lip spoiler.....negotiating prices

Dodge29

we also decided to relocate the 2 small radiators for the intercoolers to the front, will do away with the front signal lamps in the front bumper, and add 3 1.75 holes inches per side to feed plenty of air to the radiators, 2 Durango auxillary rear heater coolant pumps will circulate the coolant.....the coolant lines will also be aluminum to help in additional cooling for the intercoolers

Nice work.

The slowdown will keep you out of Maxton in October, but you will be able to wring out the bugs next spring on the Maxton Mile - only a 3 hour drive for you!

Keep us updated.

Been a while, got lost spending a fortune on my Challenger, and probably will replace one our Jeeps with a second Challenger, my wife wants a yellow jacket or header orange and since she's working again after taken nearly 2 years off and making plenty of money, I guess she can buy one......lol

However working on the Dart again, on my 3rd dash revision, can make up my mind, after building 3 dashes and trashing all 3 I'm trying again, added quite a few more bars and make some changes engine wise, ordered a set of w9 heads, t&d rocker shaft system and Indy intake manifold and valley pan. Will post some pictures when I get them......the bottom of this engine is so insane didn't make sense to quit now.....might as well go all the way, crank trigger coil on plug and fuel injection......
The rear axle is completed and most of the suspension is ready for powdercoat

Finally an engine is coming together, my buddies all think I'm nuts for going all out exotic......did it bought my cylinder heads to complete the set up
W9's with a Mopar intake that doesn't exist, found a setup that never really existed, never made or sold by Chrysler

Dude, you're building a friggin NASCAR engine! With an induction system like that, turbos are kinda overkill, no? You may end up with a total monster on your hands!
