I just found out today that one of our members and a good friend of mine, FJ5Demon, passed away Dec. 30. Mark and I went to school together, from 3rd grade until the middle of my senior year when I moved to a different school. We lost touch until I ran into him by chance on Mopar Alley chat, right after i got my first computer in 2000. I was stationed in Virginia at the time, and when I moved back home we spent a good deal of time hanging out and working on cars together. We worked together for a short time at a small local garage, before I was recalled to the reserves. Later, he was hired at the company I currently work for until he was laid off about a year ago. We still stayed in touch, but not as much as before, as he was getting into Jeeps and the offroad thing. He always seemed to be getting into something new and was always busy. I knew he was having some health problems, but I never believed he would be taken so soon, he was only 43. Rest in peace Mark, you'll be missed.

My Condolences to you and all the many friends and family, This has got to be a shock , so young. Be strong scamper340 and count all the blessing in your life you enjoyed with him.

Condolences to friends and family. Hoping everyone gets a hemi car in heaven.

sorry to hear, I have had 3 young friends with small kids taken in the last couple of years, prayers are with you, Joe

It's hard to lose a friend you have known for so long. Don't be afraid to reach out to his family, it will help you and them.

I`m sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I know how you feel, I too had lost touch with a childhood friend. We were close friends through middle school and high school and shortly thereafter we went our own ways. After wives and kids we would only see each once in a blue moon. A few years ago we had a chance to reconnect through our mutual love of Mopars. Together we built a 69 fastback 408 and he ended up buying my convertible. We only had a few years to share as he passed away in Dec. 09. He was FABO member Fishman. Life is fugitive, you have to live it to the fullest! Age seems to have little to do with ones life. My condolences to you.

My condolences, I too lost my best friend in life Oct 5 2006 to pancreitus. There is never a day goes by that i don't think about him. He was 43 also.

Sorry to hear. God bless.

Sorry for your loss, scamper340. And my condolences to FJ5_Demon's family and friends.
43 is way too young. My dad was taken at age 44 when I was only 7. I know my year of being 44 was a really tough year for me remembering that.
As said before, live life to the fullest because every day we have is a blessing.

Thanks guys, I just talked with his Mom and she's a mess right now. I'm still not able to drive right now, but as soon as the doc clears me, I'm going to go visit. Mark hadn't posted on here for a while, but I believe it's because his interests were varied. He was a perpetual tinkerer, always had a couple of project going at any given time. Before We started hanging out again, I was very hesitant about working on my own stuff. But now, I'm more confident in tearing into things on my own. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Pretty bummed right now. :-( Thanks for the kind thoughts.
