What do you think? :p Comments pls (Both good and bad welcome!)

That looks real nice. That oil filter and carburetor are interesting indeed. I can see a different style carburetor, but what's purpose of the remote oil filter? Were they factory options? That's interesting to say the least.

Yes factory fitted to all RHD cars as the original oil filter would not clear the steering mechanism in a RHD car.

Well that explains that. LOL

And the carb:

The original Holley 1920 got thrown away sometime in her life between 1966 and 2009 :p ,and before E-Bay came along, it was almost impossible to get parts for US cars here. So they slap in a SOLEX from a POLICE Land Rover Series II onto the slant six...

PS: I will eventually get a decent 1920 from Ebay when I have some extra $$ and time :)

Cheers

 I had wondered why the a/c was were it was, I like your build, and wonder if an a/c like that would locate on a LHD or not.
What year model and Ci is that slant :thumblef: Very nice and looks like a direct drive starter of some kind

Nice work.
There sure is alot of widgets on that motor.
Here is a pic of the motor I am working on.
What color is it ? Street Hemi Orange ?

PS: Your right side motor mount is upside down. 8-[
Dont feel bad,I did the same thing.

Thats not a Factory A/C - some generic Nippondenso system. If you can find a small compressor from a K-car (sub 1000cc) japanese car there in the US, I think it would fit on a LHD car but a big one like this I dont think so.

The motor is a 1966 170ci but I heard in the US they stop the direct drive starter in 1963.

Starter is as found on Canadian-made Slant-6s from '63-'66, Prestolite ("Auto-Lite" at the time) MDT-6017. Similar to the MDT-7002 and MDT-7009 used worldwide on the '60-'61 slant-6s.

Very nice slant 6 you have there. Compliments on a job well done. Looks great.

Cool :thumblef: 66 170 slant, one day I will do the same to mine.
Mine is a 66 170 also, daily driver and added a couple things to help it get some cool air and more of it.
