Iphone for sale!

How exactly do you get a phone "jail broken"?? this is news to me, I'm stuck in the old days with my Verizon LG EnV3 I got a couple years ago. lol. I love Verizon, you get service EVERYWHERE, but I HATE Verizon customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL the girls that work there are snobby little bitches, same for the ones you talk to on the phone. They all suck, leaving me pissed off and wanting to switch services EVERY time I leave the verizon store. LOL

You can only jailbreak certain devices...not all.

And a year or 2 ago it was illegal so it was kind of "hush hush" when someone did it.......but a few months back a law was passed saying that owners of the devices had the right to exploit the software being that it was only benefiting the user and not causing problems elsewhere basically ( basically told the companies to stop being greedy).

so since then the world of jailbreaking devices has really been expanding (until the recent jailbreak of the sony playstation 3 which was in a violation of the EULA contract all purchasers bind themselves into.....so there is a current lawsuit on that .......but anyhow, that has nothing to do with the phones.

There are more advanced jailbreaks where you download the software to your computer and plug your device in via the usb cable and jailbreak the software that way, there are tethered and untethered jailbreaks (meaning they work whenever or for a the thered jailbreak it means they only work when plugged into the computer) (tethered jailbreak is pretty much obsolete now though). And there are now even simple jailbreaks out there where you simply get on your device and go to the internet browser and type in a certain web address and it will say something to the effect of "click to jailbreak" and it will jailbreak your device right from a web page.

there is alot you can do with jailbroken devices like, fully customizable home screens and wall papers, free ring tones, free apps, unlocking the phone to work with different carriers, selectable network towers and the list goes on and on and on......it basically lets you unlock the full potential of the device (manufacturers should give you this option from the factory being that these things are so expensive when you buy them new anyhow).

thats some of the basics anyhow...sorry for the long post on it
