I need rubber gasket for tail light housing for vibration..fits in between housing and the body.also the white foam style gasket on inside of housing for lense..and any other ones i need..i am replacing destroyed back up light and also brake lense that is busted out.but i tried to save gaskets to no avail they are shot..but need gaskets before i replace lenses..anyone know where i could get some used or aftermarket? any help would be great ..Thank you.

DMT has a bunch of early A-body taillight lens and housing gaskets that aren't in their online catalogue; send them an e-mail or call them. Their quality and customer service are excellent. Another excellent source is Gary Goers.

thank you everyone for response..i looked at places you all suggested..found the gaskets but ,i dont believe anyone makes the rubber gasket between housing and body ..still looking thank you again everyone...

I'm pretty sure the rubber gasket is available somewhere. Keep looking. I'll do a bit of looking too. You might try Laysons.

Ok i keep looking..I dont think laysons has them..But slantsixdan led me to Gary goers and he does but i dont know if he has them in stock or still sales them .I am awaiting conformation through email as of now...thank you 64 cuda for helping in the search..and everyone else as well..

thank you slant 6dan i have looked and headed warnings of laysons..you only have to tell me once for me to listen...lol..i looked at the places you had posted in early post but couldnt find the taillight housing gaskets..only with goers but i have heard its almost impossiable to get ahold of him..and if you order catalogue from him long time too to receive it let alone odering and getting the parts..I sent an email waiting for response..time to be patient...thanks still looking..

65valiantcali- Laysons is the only company that has em. Not cheap, yet I am glad a vendor stepped up and made these, no matter their rep.

Here is the number they provided me...I have not ordered a set myself, as my old ones are doing the trick right now.
part# RD-65CTHGP, $89.00/pr plus shipping.

holy cow batman and rubber robber..thats some cheese...Ok so if i decide to just get the gaskets for backuplights and brake lenses without the body to housing gaskets is this bad idiea with moisture and all?I want to put in my new lenses mine are waisted ,completely done,i have new old in great condition just want them in...just thought getting the body to housing gaskets would be smart but$ 89 is out of my price range for this month..so maybe next month...lol thanks 65 valiant..i am still looking though...

Gary Goers part numbers for '65 Valiant taillight gaskets are TG9 (lens-to-housing), $2.50 apiece, BG4 (backup light lens to housing), $2.50 apiece, and HG21 (housing-to-body), $3.00 apiece. That's sixteen whole, entire dollars for the set of four. Or you can pay Layson's ripoff prices if you'd really prefer to do so.

Quickest way to reach Goers is by fax. 406-752-6249.

I think these are what he's looking for. If you can find a pair of these for $6 a pair as mentioned above, my advice would be to get ahold of as many of them as you can.......

If you can't find any at $6 a pair.....I do have these in stock on the shelf and ready to ship, part# RD-65CTHGP, $89.00/pair.

Those are nice! They look like molded rubber. The ones that came off my valiant seemed like a diacut heavy foam rubber, however they were 40+ years old and not much left of them when removed.

Rick you have any pictures installed on car? Does that rubber gasket end up mostly in/and under the housing when installed?

It's kinda hard to see in the pic, but they are visible around the exterior of the chrome housing between the housing and the red paint.

wow those gaskets are what i need but i will have to wait until next month..if i can get them from goers would be my price range ...will have to try and fax him then..if not looks like laysons it will be..just so hard to pay 100bucks with tax and shipping to put in lenses..lol..but i love my car ..thank you again to everyone who has took notice to my posting and there time in helping..you guys are all great..thanks..

Ok latest news..I talked to Gary Goers and he has all the gaskets for 16$plus 5$ shipping so 21$ total..However he does not have the rubber housing to body gaskets..So as of now i can say Laysons is the only place i know of for sure..I will still shop and look as 89$ is out of my price range as of now...anybody know someone else who supplies them?..thanks again for everyone looking and giving there thoughts and opinions on the matter..

A guy in san diego has a pair and wants 50 shipped for em
Maybe you could drop by and offer him less...he is parting out an entire barracuda....shame really
I sent you a pm with his email

Well I guess I will be contacting Rick as I'm ready to get some gaskets. 45 year used rubber is not going to work for me.

Can anyone here make a mold? I will donate my extra set if someone is willing to make a batch of these with rubber compound/urethane.
