So what exactly makes a Charger? number of doors, engine size, particular interior, fwd/rwd/awd, big long hood, big long trunk, itty-bitty wheels, tires that don't stick to the road, brakes not big enough to stop it, suspension that can't handle an s-curve at speed, 0 cupholders, or the men and women building it, the company putting the name plate on it... If you've read any of the other posts about new cars, you would know 2 door vehicles are not moving as fast as 4 door vehicles. Just saying. Get over it and be happy Chrysler is still around to put out cars with technology that trickles down to some of our old cars.

Really why??..Mopar hasn't made ANYTHING i'd spend my money on since the '70s...we all screamed for a 2-door musclecar and they gave us a FOUR door charger..finally they come out with the challenger but its fat overweight pig of a car,watching a program on how they're made i don't think you can make a car any cheaper and then they stuff a Mexican hemi in it:sad1::sad1::sad1:...i certainly still won't be buying anything mopar/fiat has to offer..

They were a foreign company when the Germans owned it too. At least we finally got a rwd platform from them. When it went back into American hands, what did Cerberus do with the company? Damn near killed it. Now they're foreign owned again. Still too early to tell if it's a good thing or not. Time will tell....... I'm not ready to write them off just yet.

As far as the new "Charger"......... Damn that's one fugly fish mouth grille. :thumbdow: :puke:

Yes 2 doors = charger, not 2 doors = not a charger
now if they had made a two door fastback!
 
Exactly...nobody buys two door cars except single men under 30 or married men with empty nests over 55.....ask me as I was the first and will be the second soon.

I am waiting patiently for my children to grow up and move out so I don't need 4 doors anymore.:thumblef:

The wifes car is a 2006 Charger with the 2.7 V6, granted its not a tire roaster but its a very nice car to drive and we have owned it for 4 years and have had 0 problems with it, Im a big dude 6'8 280 lbs. And it was the first car I could ever drive comfortably plenty of space and who cares if it is a four door, im 31 and I like it, I really like the new 2012 Chargers design even better the taillights look exactly like a 69-70 tailights and the front looks more menacing although I do wish it looked like a 69 front that is a pipe dream, at least we have a Charger and Challenger with big HP numbers and just remember, there will ALWAYS be someone with a faster car! Hopefully it has a pentastar stamped on it somewhere!!!

so....my car is an auto.....i'm lazy now? i was reading your car's and it says your space duster is a 3spd care to explain?

Sure,... My point is Control is everything, I drive the car not the other way around,...If more people concentrated on the vehicle instead of other distractions (cell phones, gps units, etc,..) my job in the FD would be a lot less busy....It/s a 3 spd manual, Not that uncommon for base level cars back in the day,... had one before in a 71,...Some day when the money tree falls on my head I'll put a 4 or 5 speed in It

I've been reading the posts about the newer Mopar muscle and how it compares to the other X-brands. Has everyone forgotten what the muscle car is really about? If you ask me, Chrysler is doing now what they did back then. They are giving you a starting point, the basic performance package. You modify it and make it faster and make it what you want. I have a buddy who bought a 2010 Camaro SS last fall. He has put a 4" Flowmaster exhaust on it and is currently putting an aftermarket supercharger on it. It will be 600+ when he is done. That will blow away anything stock. Stock???????...............who cares? Since when have any of you left your Darts, Dusters or Demons stock?
