I have a ford nine inch rear that measures close to 52 1/2 inches from flange to flange which is real close the an body that measures 53 inches. It has the 5 on 4.5 axles and the center section that says 3.78 gears on tag it is not a posi rear. The spring perches measure around 42 1/4 center center so they will probaly fit without moving . I will take 400.00 for whole set up plus shipping Im in Indiana . I can text a pic if needed thanks
 
Just to let you know 42" center to center on spring perches is what an a body takes. I had a 9" rear also in my 68 Dart and it measured 42" and sat perfect. Don't know about your 53" measurement though. Mine was 58 flange to flange with disc brakes and sat center in the wheel well. The price seems reasonable. You may want to post a few pics. Good luck
 
the spring perches measure 42 1/4 to be exact so im sure it will fit . the 52 1/4 is from inside housing to inside housing flange. the over all measurement from axle flange to axle flange is 57 inches and by that i mean with axles bolted in measure from the outside of one to outside of other so it will probably work perfect right
 
ive got a 9 inch in my 73 dart it was a direct bolt in fits under car with no tire clearance issues
 
yes my measurement was at the rotor flange where the wheel sits flat because mine was a disc brake rear end. I was still able to fit a 255 BFG Drag Radial on the car.
