One sister had a late 80's Chevy Astro Van. The whole front suspension needed a rebuild every 20K miles. They found GM used the same ball joints as their compact cars. They replaced it with a new Suburban which soon stranded them for week with a failed tranny on a road trip. They are still loyal GM customers.
