e3 spark plugs

-
Only feedback I have is that I put a set in my daughter's 2000 Geo Metro. I keep meticulous records on the car & I could see no improvements of any kind, but this was only a couple of months after we bought the car.

They're definitely more efficient -- at pulling money out of your wallet when you buy them. There's nothing new or groundbreaking about them, and the maker's claim that "the spark plug hasn't changed since 1904" is idiotic. I had to give them credit for at least having some valid science on their site. I called them up -- it was almost impossible to find their phone number; they've worked very hard to keep it hidden. It was nowhere on their site, and they deliberately left it off their domain registration's whois info. I did find it, though, and spoke to the guy who answered the phone. He claims the plug was designed by Champion's retired head spark plug engineer from the 1960s, who oversees production of the plugs...in China...by a subcontractor of a subcontractor. Whee, are we havin' fun yet? It's all sizzle, no steak. All hat, no cowboy. All litterbox, no cat.

Gimmicky spark plug scams are nothing new. Back in the days of gas price wars that started at 29¢/gallon and went downward from there, JC Witless had full-page ads hollering RUN YOUR CAR WITHOUT SPARK PLUGS! Back then they called 'em "fire injectors" rather than "E3" or "pulse plugs", but the claims, hype, handwaving and pseudoscience were just about the same.

"Back then" at NAS Miramar, I had a part time job at the auto hobby shop. I had a car on the scope, ran like sh** and the scope pattern looked worse. I told him he needed new plugs at the least.

He says, "oh I don't need to change the plugs, I have "Lifetime Fire Injectors."

You better run a cold enough plug with your juice monster. Make sure your total timing is no more than 28 total, but it depends on how much your hitting it with

i run ngk in it i was just wondering about them i work in the parts business and just wanted feed back from my fellow members i do run colder plugs with nitrous it is capable of up to 300hp shot

I ran some in my 08 Jeep wrangler. All they did was make the computer throw misfire codes so I tossed um and put Champions back in. Never missed a beat after that.

Dan I agree with you, I "thought" i needed them and you can email them with your engine and they will gladly send you a recommendation, well they never did, at that point I didnt think they were anything special, like you said it is impossible to get their phone number, I am wondering what plugs do you like?? are any plugs actually made in the US anymore??

The only plugs I could get to live in my 340 back in the very early '70s were Autolites. Been running them ever since in everything - except the lawnmower.
yep I have autolites in mine now, but was wondering where they come from guess I should look on thier website and see if they say..
