Hello again! I drift in from time to time, whenever an A-body strikes me... :)

This little jewel followed me home for $300. It's got a few little smacks around it and one fender needs replacing along with both front floor plans but it's all original otherwise, down to the black California plates. Slant six automatic with manual drums and steering. Interior is hosed as well.

The guy I bought it from said it's a runner/driver only needing a master cylinder, I haven't tried starting it yet, I'm optimistic but I've been busy with other obligations. I'm gonna be a Dad in about a week, so the little lady has been keeping me busy with household stuff.

Plans? Make it a daily driver and then start driving it daily. I'll fix the bad spots as I find affordable parts online or at the junkyard. Later plans include front disc brakes and a rear end swap to get the large bolt pattern.

See y'all online!

Cool little Valiant. Looks like everything is there, not bad for $300. Maybe I'll see you on the road.

Here is my daily driver:

Congrats on the new ride and the new addition to the family Scott! Hope it goes well all around. Keep us posted.

Nice score on the car. $300 looks like a good deal for a solid car. Floor pans are easy to replace.

Leave it all patined out,and put in a 408 stroker...!!!!!!!!!

That would be cool.

Nice Valiant! I saw this car on another website and was like what a clean car. My Valiant is originally from California but the passenger compartment floor pans are toast like yours. It must have been because of the rubber mat, where ever that was it rotted out. The rest the car is almost rust free. I too paid $300 for mine. Valiants are fun, rare little cars.

Tracy!! woot
nice find,
good like finding time to sleep let alone work on that.

Nice car. Swifterthanyou has a couple of Valiants. One is a patina-ed car with a 440. Wolf in Sheep's clothing for sure. Good luck.

Thanks guys!! I'm neck deep in the revival right now, got some big disc brakes on the front and an 8 1/4 out back now, and the floorpans are ready to be welded in, but I think I'm going to add subframe connectors now while the time is good. Hope to be driving it again soon!

where are smoking deals like that in my neck of the woods? wow. MAJOR score
