A "remanufactured" signal switch? Never heard of such a thing. New ones of widely varying quality ranging from Chinese garbage to American- or Argentinian-made good stuff, and of course there are used switches, but remanufactured...? Are you sure?
Put in a good quality new switch and the problems will go away.
