The big bolt pattern or BBP is the bolt circle where the wheel lugs (or studs, which ever you want to call it) go. The BBP is a 5 X 4.5" pattern or more commonly known as 5 X 114.3mm. The small bolt pattern or SBP is 5 X 4" pattern
