1973 340 Duster too good to scrap?

Thanks to all for the info. Thanks to chryslerfat for backing me up. He sounds like he might also be self employed in construction during the winter with a slow economy, pays $$$ for his own health insurance, and has kids in college. Have to watch the pennies. That's why I'm trying to figure out the best return on these cars while trying to keep them intact. I dreamed of dropping a modern Hemi into the 318 car for a daily driver and slammin' a 440 and 4 link into the caged car for a fun strip car. Not going to happen anytime soon. Selling is tough too. The only offer I've had for the whole 340 car so far is $300. But I've been offered $200 just for the pedals and hump, more than one guy wants the sunroof, and the remains are worth $150 in scrap. Any hesitation to do anything with these cars is done to try to save them. And the fender tag does say it was a 4 speed car.
