Buying Parts from Canada

Kernel,

My comment about not dealing with Canadians anymore was directed about the duties, not the people. The guy I dealt with was very nice. I just felt a little taken advantage of after paying $70 for shipping and another $30 for duties. If you can do the math, that comes out to $100 for shipping.

As for the part about the Canadian telling them that I would pay the fee. That's what the lady at FedEx told me. It is obviously not true after contacting the seller as he was told that the fees were to be part of the shipping. Apparently this is a "standard lie" that the shipping companies use to get us to pay their extra fees.

Now that I know the regular post office does not charge the "duties" I will do business with Canadians in the future, just specify to send the parts through the post office and not FedEx/UPS.

Now as for you Mr. Kernel Sanders. Go cook some fried chicken and have a few pieces. Maybe then your mouth will be too full to talk and your fingers too greasy to post negative comments after I have already posted and clarified that I do not hate Canadians, it's the duties of dealing over the border that suck. So if you think that you see a chicken across the street when you look out the window, double check to make sure that you are not looking in the mirror....
