I wish mine looked that good.

Were in the same boat:grin:

Your car and rear quarters are in better shape than mine. Someone before the PO did this. It is hard to see so I will get a better picture tomorrow. But someone cut out the left rear quarter and tried to make one using sheetmetal, fiberglass and bondo.

trust me mine looked like yours at first. Now it is getting better after many thousands of dollars. Yet much still to do body and paint next, just need more money and time!

Here is a quick visual tour of my 65. Is yours complete with engine and trans & what part of carolina are you in?

Yes mine has a /6 and 904 trans. I have to say yours looks and sounds great. I also have to admit mine looks the worst so far lol. I am about 4.5 maybe 5 hours from you. I live in Lexington,NC. Moved back here in Sept 85. I use to live in Newport News, Hampton and Williamsburg I imagine it has changed a lot since I was there last.

BTW someone had changed it from a 1 bbl over to the 2bbl super six manifold.

Yes it has changed alot but still a great place to live. Mine was originally a /6 three on the tree radio delete car. Yours is beautiful to me because it is still here, not parted out.

Thanks, I have started a thread in Members Restoration called Rolling Resto. Right now I want to get the dash back in and see if I can get it started. PO took it out and apart then he got hurt and couldn't work on it. It will help me decide whether to keep the /6 or go for a 318. A lot of this is new to me and looks like I will be ordering some body patch panels for it later. Main goal is to get it running and go from there.

Heeeere's Goldie my '65. He's taken a few bumps over the years. Not a Formula S, but replacement fenders had the emblems. The main liberty I've taken besides new wheels was tinting the rear window. I was sceptical especially because it is semi-reflective but with the gold paint it doesn't look too gaudy.

Didn't know anybody was trying for the worst......Here's my "Diamond in the rough"....:iconbigg:

But I've been buying up a lot of parts & I'm about ready to start the teardown so I can build my stroker this summer (I hope).

Goldfish65,

What color an/or color code is your car. My 64 has been painted a couple of times but the engine compartment appears to be the same color as your car. I would like to go back to the stock color but the fender tag is not readable.

Thanks

My fender tag has the paint code AA1 which is called Gold Poly.

The bodyshop that painted my car uses Sherman-Williams automotive paint. Believe it or not, a '90's GM color (metallic tan?) is what they used, it's a perfect match.

'64 cuda and goldfish65,

Thank you both for your response. :glasses8:

nice pix. sorry i haven't loaded my cuda pix yet. my paint code on my fender tag says EE1 which is medium metallica blue same as B7 blue. but i am going to paint it B5 blue with black interior

Seems there would be more Barracuda's than this. (not including Wives)
