Checked and no number 1 so it was not ordered. So it looks like engine was built 1/25 and the scheduled production date was 2/17. The core support has the correct number on it. Haven't checked the trunk yet but should be there. I assume the warranty card date is when the original owner picked up the car.

Isn't there also a production date on the trans? If so where?

So as far as I've gotten to the point of figuring out that from 1968 on they put a raised machined surface on the passenger side of the A833 4 speed with numbers on it. My 1967 GTS A833 4 speed has a raised flat part above the casting number but it isn't machined and has no numbers, which I assume makes it pre 1968.

So I found what looks like a date on a tag between two bolts on the cover plate on the side of the trans: 12 29 66.
