Hi everyone my name Is Gabe, Im a 20 year old college student from Portland Oregon, although i live in Eugene during the school year.:hello2: I first got into mopars in high school, one of my friends had the sickest 1966 dodge dart I had ever seen. I fell in love with that awesome muscle car sound he had from his bored over 273 and dual flowmasters. Riding around in that car made me want a mopar so bad! A year or so later I purchased my first car (1966 dart 170 with the post, i really didn't want the post car but was too impatient to wait for another one to come around lol). It needed a lot of work since i didn't know anything about cars i kind of lost interest in the project and let it sit in my driveway. Fast forward a couple of years and i stumbled across a pretty decent 66 dart 270 model (no post!) with all the nicer trim intact and a Very nice front grill. It was dark grey/black with only minimal rusting in the back panel behind the wheel. It was too good to pass up so i sold the old dart and upgraded to the 270 one. The new dart got me really excited and I began saving every penny to restore it. I found this website while researching rear end swaps and found the 8.8 archives. Currently my friend and his dad are working on my car to install the ford 8.8 and swap out the /6 for the 273 that my friend ended up selling me. I am putting new disk brakes all the way around and new torq thrust D rims also. I don't have any pictures now but as soon as i head over to the shop ill start posting some pictures. I hope this post wasn't too confusing either lol.
