I have decided now that i have broke the piggy on the paint and body, that i would like to pull and rebuild my engine myself. I have not seen the inside of an engine since high school close to 30 years ago so my question is what is the best book to buy to attempt this myself ie:rebuilding an engine for dummies
Also when I pull the engine I would like to drop the k member to clean it up is there a detailed book for this also?
I need a book that will not put me to sleep and has some easy to see pics kinda like we had back in high school.
Not sure but I think the trans might be out of a beginners skill?

Thanks
Don

That's ok. The small block mopar hasnt changed... Theres a bunch of decent books just be aware that many push MP parts that have better alternatives now. Just search Amazon.com. I know of nothing but the factory service manual for the K frame and honestly, it's not a bad engine manual either...

the how to rebuild small block mopars is good,or the how to hot rod sbm is a good one depending what your doing
