It's now official - parting out my 65 Signet convertible. It's got several serious cases of underbody cancer and I just have no time for it (as much as I like convertibles). Got it moved out of the neighbors sight the other day, so ready on it. I will be stripping everything on it, so no part too small. PM me with requests since they come in by date and time - that way I can keep track of everything. I am also posting this over at slant six.org since the car is a slant 6 3 speed.

That was quick - the convertible top frame, motor, lifts, wiring, and switch tentatively sold.

What type of steering wheel do you have? I need a steering wheel that will fit my 1966 Barracuda. I would prefer a three spoke wood rim type or black with a center blow horn button but i would consider another wheel in good condition that is compatible with a column mounted automatic. 66moparrerun

Here's a few pictures of how it looks after removing some stuff today. Might give you a bitter idea of what's there. If anyone needs a close-up of something, PM me with your email address and I'll see what I can do. Stuff that I can use on my 65 Barracuda I might keep unless I already have spares

how is the passenger quarter panel...?

Not good at all. Lots of rust & holes in the lower section where it rolls under towards the trunk. If it had been good, I would have kept it and used it on my Barracuda. Ditto for the driver's side.

PO put regular sunvisors instead of the correct convertible visors. You are #2 on the list for the sunvisor brackets - First person to ask is over at .org.

Sounds good let me know. PM would be the best method.
Thanks.

If your not keeping them for the Barracuda I would be interested in the bumperettes on the rear bumper. Condition and price + shipping to 98604? Heck for that matter what kind of shape is the rear bumper in? Thanks, Ron.

Hi Ron - I've had another member ask about the bumper but don't know if he meant bumper & bumperettes or just bumper. Once I find out, I'll let you know where you are in line. I'm not planning on using either on my Barracuda/Dart wagon as I have some very nice replacements for them.

Thanks for the reply. I have a decent enough rear bumper but it has some small dings and dents that need fixing and that would require rechroming. Yours looks pretty straight from the one picture. Please keep me in mind if the other feller looses interest. Ron

Yea the bumper is straight with no dings or dents BUT needs re-chroming. There are a bunch of rust streaks from whatever running from top to botton pretty much all the way across. Have no idea what caused it - maybe water dripping from the trunk? Dunno.

Did 66moparrerun take the steering wheel? What condition is it in? How about the dash pad? What about the backup light lenses?

Currently the top bows, lifts, pump, switch and steering wheel is sold awaiting payment. I'm still waiting on a couple of guys from .org to get back to me on a couple of things that people have expressed an interest in here on FABO.

Dang...i am guessing horn center is going with the wheel?
Can you pm me how much you want for the dash cluster and wiring harness for the dash (if not cut)
thanks

intrested in the steering column, it looks to be manual, is it? I really just need the shaft, but if need be I'll buy the whole thing. Shoot me a price shipped to 85306 thanks.

Hey 65 Dateman

Do you still have the center lower bracket that supports the hood latch? I attached a picture of what Im looking for.

Any front sheet metal left? Looking for anything thats better than what I have now. Thanks!!

Got a couple of people asking about the sunvisor brackets so here's a quick picture of the ones off the Valiant. I do have a 2nd set I bought for spares, condition about the same as pictured. Both sets do have some pitting on the brackets and some rust on the arms where the sunvisors don't cover.

Are the door, trunk and ignition keys and locks in good shape and working order and also need a 65 jack. If you have those items, pm me with a price. Thanks in advance, Jerry

Bump, Dartman anything happening with this, seems like the thread went dead on the 18th.

Yes, stuff is happening BUT very slowly. Due to some issues with my legs, I find it quite difficult to get down on the ground to remove stuff like bumpers, the right fender, valances, etc. Plus the weather and work have interfered in pulling stuff. Currently I have a tentative sale on the convertible top stuff and steering wheel and the sunvisor brackets. Rear and RF wheel well trim is spoken for. Several people have asked about breaking up the set of convertible top trim and just lenses from the taillights. I've decided to not break up stuff like that. Several people who asked about stuff have not yet replied to my PMs. So yes, not a lot happening.
