Whats the best intake manifold for me???

yeah it is a vacuum secondary. my dads a mechanic and my neighbor... where the car is at is an even better mechanic im 18 years old and have been into working on dirtbikes etc alot of my life no so much cars, i know how alot of it works just not alot of the specifications on stuff like the difference between x and j heads for example. it has the stock intake right now so i wouldnt want to spend over 200ish. i know im backtracking here but do you think an intake is really worth it? again any knowledge is appreciated.
