I'm looking to add a power booster to my 64 Valiant (Slant 6) w/ manual drums. I haven't been able to find anything for my specific car, and I'm not sure what year(s) donor cars I can look for, too.

So, I'm turning to the vast knowledge here for help and guidance... :prayer:

I did the disc brake swap(manual disc.)on my 66 Dart and the car stops great. No need for brake booster.JMO.

I've been looking at the disc swap...but I've had a very hard time finding the parts or a donor for the swap. Since I'm getting close (hopefully) to getting my car done, I figured that it would be easier, and faster, to simply go with the power booster...especially since I have all my manual brake setup, the setup on a 64 Dart donor car (V8), and the setup on another 64 Valiant 2-door.

I may do the disc swap later on.

Back around 1974 I pulled the power booster & vacuum reservoir off of a 1965 273 Commando Barracuda. Swapped them straight over onto my 1964 Barracuda. Both cars were stock V8 cars. Mine had 9" drums all around & I'm not sure but I imagine the 65 had 10" drums. I just bolted the booster with its mounting bracket up to my master cylinder (seems like there was a different pushrod setup) & fastened the reservoir to the fender. Don't know if they worked right or not but the brakes sucked! I pulled the stuff back off & stayed with my much better (believe it or not) manual 9" brakes.

Now I'm swapping to front discs to go with the long ago swapped on 10" rear drums.
