Here are some pictures of my 1966 dodge dart. My friend and his dad are doing the work installing the 273 v8 and the 8.8 ford rear end 3.73 gears, disk brakes, and dual flowmaster (40's) exhaust. There is a new gas tank and rebuilt 904 transmission also recently put in. I am busy at school and still learning about cars so that is why I'm not doing most of the work myself. I got most of the ideas for my car from this site and I think it is a great resource. A couple questions I do have moving forward are, what would be the most cost effective way to change the bolt pattern to 4x4.5 in the front to match the rear explorer bolt pattern? Can you re-drill the bolt pattern in the front drums? Is it going to be a problem to have disk brakes in the rear and drums in the front? Any help on these questions would be greatly appreciated as they are the last hurdle in completing the first stage of my project!

Another nice 66 here. Black looks good. , Have fun with it and keep those photos coming. toolmanmike

Find a newer dart in the boneyard or on craigslist and take the upper control arms, spindles, lower control arms. I also took the sway bar setup and i may put that on as well. I found a guy parting one out and got the whole setup 150$. I got new calipers for 20$ each at advanced and they came with all the hardware. The rotors were 45 from there as well. Make sure you get the brake hose bolt in the caliper as i could not find these new anywhere. Luckily they still had my cores after a week!!

Thanks for the complenents everyone! son7771 thanks as well for the advice I think I am going to just upgrade the front to disk brakes, In the long run I think that would be the best option and hopefully with some luck I can find the Upper control arms and Spindles for a good price. My local mopar wrecking yard (Wildcat) wanted 500$ for just the UCA and Spindles!

Always like them black cars look good

It has been a long time since I posted in this thread but my car is getting close to being finished in the shop and I am really excited to drive it for the first time with a V8! I just registered my car today and got tags! lol

While my car has been at the shop I have been collecting parts (mostly for the interior, like the original radio, emblems etc) and working on the dash. As you can see from the above pictures, my radio bezel was missing and I thought it would be a good idea to restore the whole dash at once.

I sanded all the parts down and then spray painted (with model paint from the hobby shop) silver then black. I still need to paint the little letters on the radio bezel white, and touch up the black over-spray on some parts but the pictures are almost the finished product.
