I was contemplating on purchasing one of these SSBC disc brake conversion kits (W153) for the front of my 68 Cuda. If someone has already installed one of these kits on their ride maybe you can please tell how straight forward it is. I want to keep the small bolt pattern and also drive it with the original 14" steel wheels. The steel rims on the front of my car have been widened to 6 inches, but the tech at SSBC is informing me that the rims will probably need to 7 inches wide in order to provide enough space for the calipers. I really don't want to buy this product to find out that a bunch of parts need to changed or modified to accommodate this kit.
