I believe they will work.

I got mine from Rockauto.com. Great price too. I'm using a narrowed 9.25 axle with 8.75 ends/ backing plates. I simply ordered A-Body 8.75 cables.

well 50 bucks for new ones... will see... olds seem fine anybody for sure they will work? they are such a pain to get out of the backing plate...

I swapped out a 7.25" axle for a 8.75" with 11 inch brakes, and my original parking brake cables worked just fine.

I did a 7 1/4 with 9" brakes swap to an 8 3/4 with 10" brakes & the cables switched right over. I think you should be good. I read a trick for getting old cables out of the backing plates was to put a hose clamp around them. Never tried it though.

yea my dad said you can also loop a wire around them

but i like the hose clamp idea! thx

On one of my 67 fish cars I swapped out 9" brakes with 10" and had to get new cables. The 9" cables were too short.

I did that swap on a 67 Dart convertible, and the cables worked fine with the 11" brakes I swapped onto it. I compared lengths with the cables that were on the 11" brakes, and they were the same. What I didn't pay attention to what where they attached compared to the A Body cables. I had to tear them all the way down and get the cables off of the 7.25 axle. They worked fine.

Cables will work fine and the fastest trick to get the old ones out is a 1/2 inch box wrench slip it up and pull the cable right out in seconds.
