73-76 A Body 10"Drum spindles

Ron,

My guess is you need these for a brake swap, yes? I did a viper caliper swap and these re the spindles the new adapters are designed to bolt onto.

Wanna know why they choose this spindle?

1) Its cheap to find (getting a little tougher these days though)
2) It uses the newer wheel bearings so you can run the (still dirt cheap) later model disc brake rotors.

Now, the difference between this spindle and the rather common (like 66-72) B body drum spindle is........ ta-da... the inner wheel bearing surface. The 66-72 B Body drum spindle has a smaller diameter.

Now if only we could get a spacer to fit over the inner spindle area so the larger (late model, dirt cheap) rotor wheel bearing would fit ......

Ahh, Dr. Diff (aka Cass Eslick of Quality Body Shop in Polson MT) makes just such an adapter. $50 for a pair, routinely sold on his ebay store and then you can use the really easy to find 66-72 B Body drum brake sindle.

That is of course if my guess as to why you want these is on target, if not ----- never mind (grin).
