Not sure if this still goes on but way back when the local high schools would have after school shop classes for adults--and us high schoolers who skip and flunk day classes, LOL
All you need is some help and time welding. The welder needs the right settings for the type of steel--that is where the teacher comes in. Its like riding a bike, takes some getting use to. U just need a class or two and U be a much better welder I think.
