Any thoughts on why my radiator wont drain when I twist the little wingnut at the bottom? It drips a little, but doesnt actually drain. Am i going about this wrong? Or is there just too much crud at the bottom, and, if so, how do I fix that? I am trying to do a full flush, the car has been sitting for 9 years.

Thanks

Might just be some crud in there. You could try poking a piece of wire inside. Probably needs to be something flexible because it kind of needs to turn a corner. You might want to go to a NAPA store or someplace & look at a replacement petcock (that's what they're called) to see how it works. Then you'll know what you're trying to accomplish, but it's pretty straight forward. (turn a corner...straight forward....Does that make sense???)

If you can get to it, blast the petcock with some air to free up the drain hole. You have crud in the bottom of the radiator and should probably have it hot-tanked.

i actually used a needle and was able to remove the blockage. i did a full flush and water was coming out clean as day after. thanks guys!

What kinda rad do you have in yours?
Wondering as the 318 had the outlet on the passenger side...

yeah no problem, ill put it up in a few days when i get down there to put time on it. working for the next few days.
