What a suprise!

It's a 318 block, I have a funny feeling that the engine may be stroked and have a good bit of machine work done to it. It bugs me that the only way to know for sure is to tear it apart... She runs nice, sounds great, and definitely not at a loss for power.

I am in the same boat as you....

My 318 is a 318, but has J heads, double roller chain, milodon deep sump pan, eddy performer manifold and carb and a purple cam (I can see the purple paint on it) but NO IDEA what else, if anything was done.

Compression is not all that high from what I can tell, but she doesnt lack for power.

I added Dougs headers, a 2400 stall converter in the 727 and recently added 3.55s in the 8 3/4 rear....

I have talked to some older Mopar guys around here and back in the day they used to make 318s perform as good as or better than the 340s from the factory, so they say.

I dont care what anyone says about 318s....mine goes! :glasses8:
