Leaf Springs

to me you dont have enough angle on the shackles thats the way my car use to be i had 02/03 spring on the 70 duster..what i did was made some spacers that i put at the back behind the leaf mount and it gave me a little more angle but not enough for my likeing but they are still there i never got the chance to try a diff. spacer...i only had 1/2" i think and my shckles looked to be about where yours are...the chasiss book calls for them to be back more to the rear to work right..now i did have my front hanger flipped to lower the car about 1" so that may have made some diff. but not to sure of that...my car would only 60' in the 1.67 at best but it would just clear the tire when i shashed the go pedal.. i think the car had a little more init if i could have got the front a little loose ...so i think if you try some spacers only paid like 5 bucks for the metal i think its 3.5 tall and 2.5 wide and drill your own holes i fig. i spend that on junk anyway wants it going to hurt....need longer bolts theres 3 more dollars and that should move the angle back more mike

also i tried a little trick a old racer told me about at the ttrack and it did help but i changed it back cause i was going to try some new shocks..he told me to get another bolt that would fit on to the shock bolt that come up in the front of the car and turn the bolt thats on the shock up loose about 1" and put the other bolt on it and tighten it so it would not move now you have a 1" of travel that you didnt have and see what the diff. is i tried it and it helped i was going to go with a qa-1 stocker star shock but sold the motor before i got the shocks or you can buty the shock ext. but if it dont help youll be out of that money so i say try turning the bolt up then push up and down on the front of the car and youll see what im talking about....mike
