Clamping front of leafs as good as traction bars??

Mopars don't use traction bars.
The axle is mounted 1/3 the way back on the springs as oppossed to the 1/2 back on GM and Fords.
That way when the front of the axle tries to rotate upward on acceleration, it has a lot less leaverage on the spring.
And the snubber can limit the travel on the diff snout.

Back in my day, if somebody was seen with traction bars on a Mopar, they got laughed at.

I believe that I will follow your advice. I really was only interested in running them as something that would have been on a street car in the early 70's. I've already got the stickers on the rear quarters, Doug Thorley knock off sidepipes, BFG TA Radials and stock ralleye wheels. There will be a fair ampount of chrome under the hood and I want to have the factory style double scoops chromed. Got any other ideas????? Thanks
