19" to 22" Radiator Swap
My 64 Valiant has the offset radiator support....I bought a 4-Core 65 Furd Falcon radiator from Champion and held it tight to the pass side and made a small filler panel for the driver side......fits awesome, is dead center. I also am using a 15" 6-Blade Steel Flex-Lite fan w/no spacer has 1" of clearance......ought to keep the 408 nice and cool.
It does have the top hose on the pass side, but didn't pose a problem for us.
We are going to fab up an .060 aluminum fan shroud and polish it.....a 24" x 24" sheet will work perfect and the radiator shroud mounts are small enough to make the install look great.
We also plan to redo the pass side filler panel by welding in a piece rather the bolted in one to keep it stock looking.
I was very impressed with the Champion piece....it did have a very slight rack to it, but pulled in tight with no apparent damage to the radiator.....came with the polished tanks and will clean up well.
