The black rad is the stocker out of my slant 6, non-ac rad. The aluminum one is larger(holds 1 1/2 more quarts) and does not have a trans cooler tank, I will be running a separate transcooler. The converter is stock and 2 extra quart trans pan. The engine is a mild 360 magnum which I have bought a high volume aluminum water pump for. No air conditioning. Has power steering.I know that the aluminum dissipates heat faster and the the hi-vol water pump should help some. I also plan on running a shroud and a flexalite lightweight fan. Your opinion????????????

It'll be fine...if it doesnt keep it stable I'll be surprised and your issue may lay elsewhere. IMO- Run a 180 t-stat. Dont be duped into a 160, they are often times used under premonition that they will help keep an engine that much cooler...which usually arises when you think you "need" it to band-aid another issue. If your system is up to snuff, it should be fine w/ a 180 stat. 195 is just not needed, again my opinion only! :toothy3: Take it for what it's worth...but I've fought a few good "cooling issue" battle with cars...

I also think your fine. The best answer is to try it out. I know here if FL. it is getting hotter earlier. I am watching my cooling issues too. Aluminum radiators are nice to get rid of that heat. Just remember to be realistic. This is Florida not Minnesota, the driving heat your engine is exposed to is very different. Also the higher the compression, there is a difference with a motor with 8.5:1 comp. vs 10:1. You can't expect the same op. temps. it just took some adjustment for me too. H2O boils in that motor at about 250 degrees with a 16 lbs. cap. Best of luck.
