the newer 2 bolt master cyl. has a shallower push rod bore so the stock 73 style rod will work with the 2 bolt cyl and adapter.

oh and the newer master cyl. have a rubber bushing on the end of the rod that keeps it in the master cyl. the 73 an 83 will use it.
