Cam

cam it, it'll work ok, just have to work around the compression you have now.

I have a 318 .020 over stock replace pistons, ran a performer intake w/eddy 600,headers and 234 closed chambered 318 heads, it ran really good and had 135-140 psi cranking with a crane blueprint 340 cam degree'd 4* advance.
It ran good and still buzzed to 6100rpm where it shut off, thats all the cam it had.
But it makes decent power, has a lope to the ex note, and is reliable and street friendly.
I have never personally used the thumper line of cams, so listen to brian on that choice
