cant you just move the lines to a diffrent location? seems like a better option to me. looks like if you move them back (to the left in your pic) about 4 inches you would have way more room and not have to worry about them at all. it would not cost much to bend up a new line. and would be alot safer.

I have gone back and forth on either a heat shield, or re-bending lines for hours... First, I think a simple shield with some thermo tape will do the trick, I talked a bunch to my brother (mechanic) and he agrees (WHICH HE RARELY DOES). Second, I also am a bit nervous of bending lines. Not that I couldn't get them done, just they may not be as pretty as the prebent stuff which would drive me nuts...
