Is it only me or are Roller Rockers noisey ?

I'm running Hughes rollers on a .509 Purple shaft and at 1/2 turn, lifter compressed, they are as quiet as a mouse. Did you check your sweep pattern of the roller across the valve face through an entire valve closed/open/closed cycle. This needs to be done with a solid lifter or adjustable hydraulic (Hughes sells them) and as long as all the valve stem heights on both heads are the same I'd check both valves on No. 1 and 2 cylinders.

Ya everything is as it's supposed to be. Its these newer profile Hi-lift cams, they have a very fast ramp and it tricks the hydralic lifter into dumping some oil so there is a bit of slack created. Seems everyone just lives with it, the clearance is constantly changing. I should have gone with the old .509, its always worked in the past ](*,)
I could always just turn down the adjusters until they bottom out the lifter, then it would be a solid !! LOL
