Are you saying you have roller lifters on a regular flat tappet cam?
I asked if that was possible a while back and you would have thought I asked what color the sky was.
I am certainly no expert on these things but by looking at the valve train it seems that the side to side clearance on the rockers, if not shimmed properly will cause the rockers to slide side to side, making the noise you are describing, just my opinion.
