Is it only me or are Roller Rockers noisey ?

................U cant use solids on a hyd cam........the ramps are different........a hyd cam needs 20* more duration ......an old racers trick from back in the day was to put hyd lifters on a solid cam gaining 20* dur and the extra lift by eliminating the valve lash that the solid needs............its kinda like offset grinding the crankshaft to gain more stroke.....every little bit helps.......kim.........

You can run solid lifters on a hyd, but not hyd lifters on a solid.

The face of the liyers are cut different, being that solid cams have always been faster ramped...the solid lifter face is more convex to accommodate.

The cam should not be making extra noise, I have never had that happen even using engle fast rates, the same rates ground for hughes cams.

Also the solids faster rate may just collapse the hyd lifter or eat the cam.

The rocker makes more noise, theres now moving parts unlike the stock stamped pieces, makes perfect sense..

but make sure the pre load is enough and that you do not have a slight push rod/rocker body contact.
