MeMike,this is the way I see it.If the old man knew his wife was needing money for bills,food,etc..and she(the aunt)could sell these items to help get by,by all means sell them and help the old lady.Put yourself in an elders shoes on a fixed income.The old man would be happy to know that some good came from these historic pieces.Just a thought...Good luck.:-D
