Sweet.

How did the adjusters look? I've spider cracked several in my 4speed F-body. That seems to be my weakest link.

I wonder if anyone makes hardened ones or if that diff cover would keep that from happening.

which adjusters ? i installed the axles but had a shop do the ring set and all bearings etc.
this cover applies preassure on the each carrier to help eliminate flex and case distortion. Im thinking of adding the axle tube struts as well, and for the price, why not !

The shop would have installed them if they setup the rear for you. They're between the main caps & are used to set the lash. That cover may just help with that issue. Once the adjusters crack the lash gets excessive & the bad things can happen.

ok then, i have a question ? once you pull the cover off, and on the top of each carrier is a nut with an angle steel piece bolted under it which raps around the carrier on one side.... whats the purpose, i dont recall seeing it in the last dana jeep rear end i put a lockrite in.

I believe you are referring to the adjuster locks. If you look to the side you'll see the cast adjusters between the caps. The axles go thru them. You loosen the main caps, then rotate the adjusters to adjust backlash when setting up the gears.
