maybe get out the air powered wire brush and clean it up that way...then lube it up a little..make sure the master spline looks right...and get a bigger hammer...sometimes you can entice them with a set of old vice graps on the shaft and a few good whacks..good luck
ya, i'll try cleaning it out again. hate to start wacking on it, to me, that means it won disgust. if i do break down though, my large pickle fork will fit over the shaft and i can hammer on that.
just thinkin' about it. i could disassemble the coupler, install it on the box's shaft by itself and then assemble the guts / column. good access from below since the exhaust is off.
sounds like a crap way to do it, but you do what ya gotta
