I,d like to see you get a vacation. I never said I agree on his pricing. Just that it was his pricing and his thread. Guess you didnt get the point. Maybe you should read the posting rules for the for sale threads. I myself have sold a pair to a member here for 50. recently. But while I understand you having to say something to save the public you believe to be morons it is the buyers job to research such things. I felt same as you about the price but have more couth and ettiquite. Have a nice day and I love the child like use of the finger emoticons. Very tasteful. NOT. DD

Sorry, I rarely take vacations. Unless it is to a car show once in a while.

As far as you selling a pair to a member here for $50...Good for you. You asked a fair price for your part and the buyer got a fair deal. I will buy you an ice cream for that...and give you a wave... :salut:

:icescrea: :wav:

Now, for "saying something to save the public 'I believe to be morons'", I was looking at a post once and thinking about getting the part. Then I scrolled down and saw that someone stated that the price was out of line - way high, so I passed on that one. The reply was correct that the price was way high and I appreciated him letting us know before wasting the extra $$$. I don't consider others to be morons until they do or say anything to earn the name. I was once one of those "morons" about to pay too much for a part until someone stated that the price was too high. So you could say that guy kept me from being a moron...

Just a second, I have to fart... :fart: Excuse me...

See, I have ettiquite. I excused myself after farting.

I don't agree with these guys that get a part and try to make a foutune/get rich off of it. You know the ones, the guys not in it for the hobby, but to squeeze every buck that they can out of us true hobbyist/enthusiasts. I was at Mopar Nats many years back. I had just become the proud owner of a set of Stage III Max Wedge heads because my friend that I bought them for decided he did not want them anymore because he became interested in a supercharger for his engine. There was a guy at the Nats with a cross ram intake with carbs and linkages, asking $2250 for them. I asked him what he would take for them, and he replied "there is no dealing on high-performance parts." So as I was walking away, I picked up his flier from his table and saw he was looking for a set of Stage III Max Wedge heads. I went back to him and asked "What are you looking to pay for a set of 518 heads?" He asked, "what are those." I replied, "The Stage III heads that you are looking for in this flier." He then said "I would give you $500 for them." I laughed in his face and walked away. The heads were worth as much or more than his intake/carb set up and he only wanted to give me $500 for them - no thanks. He wants everybody to give him dirt cheap (steals) pricing for thier parts and charge you up the wazoo for the parts he has...:thefinge: He is not in this for the hobby, only to make as much money as he can off of the true hobbyist/enthusiast. He is only looking out for himself. I have no use for guys like that. If someone needs a part that I have and am not using, I would give it to him for what he can afford, or in some cases just give it to him free if I was convinced that he was going to use it and not resell it.

But now, my "child like use of the finger emoticon ( :thefinge: :finga: :thebirdm:), Where else am I supposed to use it? It's not appropriate when you are being nice and trying to make a deal with someone, they may become offended. In this case the offense was already there, so I used it. (Besides, I have been waiting for a good opportunity to try it...) So now I stand scolded by you...[-X  However you did not mention anything about the mooning emoticon :butthead: , so I guess that is ok and proper...

But seriously, I'm just having fun with the emoticons. Don't read too deeply into them. Don't take life too seriously, because you're never going to get out of it alive... Have a little fun once in a while. I refuse to grow up.

And with that, Mr. daredevil, I also wish you a good day. And to show that I am sincere, I leave you with some popcorn, ice cream, and a cup of coffee...
