Going To Central America
the ground is barley above sea level and they built some of their houses on slab foundations which shift overtime and some sink at corners of the houses... i think the new construction houses are built on pikes to allow them to "float" ontop of the ground better.
well thats what they told us when i took a tour in early 2000. some houses were leaning at a 20~30* pitch and people where still living there. it was crazy.
